60 Min. KettleBooty
see all reviewsGreat workout! As a beginner, it was a bit hard to gauge how heavy of a kettlebell to use. But, the instructor did a great job giving clear instructions and motivating us to keep going. It was also well-sequenced so that we worked a bit of everything.

see all reviewsNadine’s classes are always wonderful. I accidentally signed up for Vinyasa flow instead of a slow flow but her class was still perfect and not too intense. Love the room but the floor is in need of a deep steam clean because grime is visible between the floorboards. They’re disgusting.

see all reviewsI’ve been consistently attending Kinjal’s classes at The Center and Haum all year, and think that she’s one of the best instructors either studio has to offer. Her classes are dynamic, with a great combination of breath work and asanas that have contributed a lot to my wellness this year. I highly recommend attending her classes.

They offer vigorous power vinyasa yoga classes set to upbeat, contemporary music…Hot Box Yoga
see all reviewsVery hot and a bit intense as others have mentioned (I expected this from the reviews) but it was not undoable -- especially as a person newer to the yoga practice. Sitting, water breaks and listening to your body are encouraged as mixing weed and the heat can cause anxiety and dizziness. I really appreciated setting the intention before beginning and going around to hear from everyone. Overall, a good and a little overwhelming experience.

see all reviewsI've had many great yoga classes at Folk, but what stands out to me about Patti's classes is she really focuses on making sure the practice works for everyone regardless of body type, injury, or other limitations. Her modifications and encouragement make yoga approachable and accessible, something I greatly appreciate as someone practicing yoga with scoliosis and arthritis. Thank you, Patti!
WE ARE FOLK.Folk is a collection of community-centered yoga and fitness studios…Ritual Hot Yoga
see all reviewsRITUAL HOT YOGA: Where Industrial SoMa Meets Modern Movement Nestled in a gray industrial building on Howard Street, marked by striking flame imagery and the mantra "Breathe to the Beat," Ritual Hot Yoga has masterfully transformed a raw SoMa space into San Francisco's most atmospheric group fitness experience. This isn't your traditional yoga studio – it's a high-energy, music-driven physical practice that borrows from yoga's rich traditions while boldly stepping into modern group fitness territory. THE SPACE & AMBIANCE The moment you step through the door at 1122 Howard, you're transported from the gritty SoMa streets into an urban sanctuary that perfectly balances industrial edge with thoughtful luxury. Exposed beams and concrete floors meet elegant orbital chandeliers and plush leather seating areas. The studio has crafted distinct zones that flow seamlessly – from the welcoming retail space featuring carefully curated activewear, to the comfortable pre-class lounging areas where members gather barefoot on designer rugs, to the immaculately maintained shower facilities for post-practice refreshing. THE PRACTICE Ritual's signature offering is a mirror-filled, faux candlelit hot room where traditional yoga meets high-intensity training. Electric candles dot the perimeter of each mat space, creating an almost ceremonial atmosphere that belies the sweat-inducing session about to unfold. This is where Ritual truly distinguishes itself from traditional yoga studios: - Format: Quick-paced 50-minute classes that maximize every moment - Temperature: Heated room that promotes flexibility and heavy sweating - Music: Carefully curated playlists that sync with movement sequences - Instruction: Dual instructor format with surprising hands-on adjustments and standard verbal cues - Structure: Progressive sequences building to challenging peak poses - Options: Four levels of pose variations accommodating beginners to advanced practitioners THE EXPERIENCE Each class feels like a carefully orchestrated production. The mirror-lined front wall serve both functional and psychological purposes – allowing practitioners to check alignment while creating an infinity effect that makes the space feel vast and immersive and provides a chance to check out more of your peers. The darkness, punctuated by strategic faux candlelight, helps participants focus inward despite the group setting. What sets Ritual apart is its ability to create an experience that's simultaneously personal and communal. While the practice is undeniably challenging, the studio's emphasis on options and modifications means everyone from fitness newcomers to seasoned athletes can find their edge. The dual instructor format ensures both expert demonstration and hands-on guidance, creating a secure environment for pushing boundaries. AMENITIES & EXTRAS Ritual eliminates common barriers to practice by providing all necessary equipment: - Premium yoga mats - Mat sweat towels - Blocks and straps - Shower facilities with premium products - Spacious changing areas - Filtered water station COMMUNITY VIBE Perhaps most impressive is how Ritual has cultivated a community feeling within a premium fitness environment. The studio's layout encourages pre and post-class mingling, with members often gathering on the leather couches or browsing the retail section. Despite the high-end touches, there's a decidedly unpretentious atmosphere where everyone from tech professionals to fitness enthusiasts feels welcome. INVESTMENT IN PRACTICE While Ritual positions itself in the premium category of fitness experiences, the all-inclusive nature of the offering (no need to bring or maintain your own equipment) and the efficiency of the workout format make it a compelling value proposition for busy San Franciscans. The studio's presence on ClassPass offers flexibility for those wanting to sample the experience before committing. FINAL THOUGHTS Ritual Hot Yoga bridges the gap between traditional yoga and modern fitness needs. It's not for purists seeking a traditional breath work centric yoga experience – instead, it caters to those wanting an efficient, challenging workout that maintains some mindful movement principles while adding contemporary fitness elements. The attention to aesthetic detail, quality of instruction, and community atmosphere make it more than just a workout space – it's a comprehensive urban fitness experience that honors both physical challenge and personal restoration. For those seeking a uniquely San Francisco take on fitness that combines sweat, style, and substance, Ritual Hot Yoga offers a compelling package that's as much about the experience as it is about the exercise. It's a physical practice that challenges the body while acknowledging the need for community and luxury touches in our urban fitness routines.

see all reviewsI really enjoyed moonsun’s instructions and style of flow. She really makes you focus on your pose and we hold it for much longer than a lot of teachers. Your body really gets to feel the pose in depth and even if you have been practicing a while you notice that your body starts to sink into the pose or feel trembling since you normally don’t stay in that pose for that long. She is a kind teacher and I like how she adjusts the yogi’s body to make sure we are doing it correctly.
