The staff in general is very warm and kind and I felt welcomed from the moment I walked into the gym. The gym is well appointed, pristine, and the locker rooms have showers and other amenities to make your experience comfortable. A major plus for me as well is that they have English services so you don’t have to worry if you don’t speak Japanese and can still train with ease. I had such a wonderful experience learning kickboxing that I plan to go back more often. I recommend this gym, please try it!!!

We did a short mindfulness and meditation walk around Hibiya Park we stopped by the trees and lake and truly absorbed the sounds and sights of the park. It was nice to take a pause in the middle of the city and be fully aware of myself and my surroundings. Afterwards, we went to the garden terrace and did yoga in the sun. it was great! I recommend having a basic understanding of Japanese in order to understand the instructor's mindfulness lessons!

Very quiet, no one talks, everyone is of high quality. 3 There is a small towel next to each equipment, and you have to wipe it clean after training. 4. Many areas, especially the squat area, have a 20-minute timer. Each person can only use a piece of equipment for 20 minutes at a time, and cannot occupy it for a long time. 5. Outside shoes are not allowed in the gym. You must have indoor fitness shoes. If you don’t have them, you can rent them. 6. You cannot take photos in the fitness area, and you cannot take selfies. 7. You cannot have tattoos on your body. If you have tattoos, you must wear long sleeves to cover them.

Allerdings ist der Kurs auf jeden Fall etwas für Fortgeschrittene. Mir war vorher nicht bewusst, dass es eine Art Hot-Yoga ist, der Raum fühlte sich an wie eine Sauna und man schwitzt sehr stark. Man muss definitiv fit sein, um das auszuhalten. Außerdem sollte man unbedingt etwas zu trinken und zwei Handtücher (ein großes für die Yoga Mathe und ein kleineres zum Schweiß abtrocknen) und Wechselkleidung mitbringen. Duschen gibt es meines Wissens nach keine.

When I told him that I practice kickboxing, he very kindly taught me some Jeet Kune Do moves that I could also use in kickboxing, and I was impressed by the speed of Jeet Kune Do. I was also very interested in the move of pretending to block and then attacking directly. Most importantly, Nate has a great personality and makes learning very enjoyable, so I would highly recommend his class!

For Pilates, I’d much prefer doing fewer reps slowly with the correct form rather than more reps without clarity. There were only 4 people in the class, so I was hoping for more personalized instruction from the trainer. Instead, there seemed to be a lot of talking before the exercise, but not enough attention on checking and adjusting each person’s form. I think I’d enjoy the class more if the trainer focused more on individual corrections.
