It reminds me of the power yoga classes Santa Monica used to be known for—long, steady holds that build balance and strength. One thing I’ve noticed about the flow classes here is that they often feel designed for people who avoid stillness and crave constant stimulation. But real yoga is moving meditation. It challenges both the body and mind to find stillness, even in motion. When the music is thumping the entire time, it’s hard to truly feel centered. In contrast, the music choices in this flow-and-hold class were thoughtful and really enhanced the meditative experience.

If you’re sweating, it’s because you’re actually working hard :) The instructor was great at throwing out extra options for more advanced students while also offering the option to skip certain parts of you needed rest or a modification. The dark room with candlelight was nice for focusing on yourself and your own practice. I’m just passing g through the area but would come back!
