see all reviewsStudio’s reformers aren’t adjustable and the ceiling is a bit low so it’s not the most talk people friendly. I’m around 173cm for reference and the carriage was to small at the normal setting which happens with 50% or more of all reformers in studios but they normally can be adjusted for talk bodies. Zycle’s can’t be but the instructor helped with notifications for me on leg series which was good. Was a great class overall and the instructor was probably the most classical trained of the Pilates classes I’ve take at zycle so far.

I’ve been to this studio about 3-4 times over the weekend but it’s my 1st time in Darren’s class. Pure golden retriever energy! Very sweet and encouraging and engaging. I don’t like trance / EDM but he picked really good tracks that felt immersive. He also made good use of the stage/room lights to add to the energy and vibe. If the time works, definitely sth I see myself coming back for. Butttttt: guysssss your bath towels are maddd thin- by the time I dry my hair it’s soaked. And the hair ties, lorddddd, they have snapped in every single class and I have to take in extra ones. Body soap also some generic drying one. Tbh I know it’s damn 1st world problems but at 10 credits pls try lah.

His playlist is a good eclectic mix of today’s and millennial pop, house and even kpop (yay gen 4 girl group!) Location📍is at New Bahru (along Kim Yam Rd kinda opposite the Chinese temple with the beautiful carvings). Walk in New Bahru compound until you see "Enter the Oat Side" playground(?). And you'll also see all the hip cafes / restaurants and shops like Beyond the Vine.. look up to Level 5 and you'll see the CRNK Logo 👀 (it's kinda above CS Fresh supermarket). Take the lift near CS Fresh to level 5 and CRNK New Bahru is just on your left when you exit the lift. And just to be safe, prepare 30 min from Fort Canning station if you're taking the train. 🕧 You can take any bus from Fort Canning Station exit A (2 stops to Kim Yam Rd) and you have to walk into Kim Yam Rd (10 min slow walk). Parking is available onsite if you're driving. Studio is super clean✨ & fresh and staff are warm and friendly. ❤️❤️❤️ Another thing I forgot to mention is that even the first time I came to this New Bahru studio they actually know my shoe size!! (I have been to their EC studio and they actually took note.. I'm super impressed 😭)💯💯💯

And I think rowing promotes the release of endorphins because I was feeling super refreshed after the class!🌝✨ They also have other rowing classes which you can progress to after taking this class. The instructor Alastair was incredibly patient in guiding us through the basics of rowing and he gave a lot of tips on the proper form, how to use the rowing machine, about pacing ourselves, etc. Just a tip (especially for ladies): recommended to wear those training gloves with padding at the palms (you can get them at Decathlon for less than $20) because I was beginning to get blisters on my palms after the class.. 🫣 If you are interested in rowing, give this class a try. It's incredibly fun!

I did my first ever class today & the instructor made me feel SO comfortable and supported, I felt I could go at my own pace and really pushed myself past what I thought I was capable of.
